I am not a dog owner due to work & travel circumstances, but I have taken care of many of my friends' dogs while they vacation. Stephanson's story of the terrier she and her husband rescued is such a sweet love story. I was particularly fascinated with the dog's intelligence and how Jazz adapted to his new circumstances and continued to exhibit different sides of his personality as he grew older. This would be an excellent read for any dog owner/lover and anyone considering adoption of a rescue dog. I also consider this a great family book: I would have read "Jazz" aloud to my daughter when she was young. But beware: if you already don't own a dog, your children will insist that you take them to an Animal Shelter Adoption Fair!Product details

This was a very heartwarming story of a dog. I really enjoyed it and am sending it to my granddaughter, who loves animals.
