Patient dead at your clinic. End of your dreams of happy-ever-after?

Over 450,000 books have been sold by this USA Today Bestselling Author. You can read this one for free with Unlimited.

Kat Denham, a popular author of steamy romance novels, has decided to write a book in a different genre. She has a friend who's a doctor of acupuncture, has just lost over one hundred pounds, is getting married in mid-life for the first time to a doctor, and seems like the perfect role model for the protagonist in Kat's soon-to-be-written book. But fate intervenes when Kat happens to be at the acupuncture clinic when a patient, Sandy Hendrick, mysteriously dies. Suddenly Kat is involved in a murder mystery she has to solve to save her reputation and that of her friend, Mitzi.

Who was the murderer? Was it Mitzi, Kat's acupuncturist? Or was it a doctor from the clinic who desperately wants Mitzi discredited, so he'll be named the Assistant Dean of Acupuncture? Then there's Sandy's philandering husband, Matt, and Mitzi's fiancee's ex-girlfriend. Or was it the clinic's receptionist, Rochelle? Will the sting Kat devises to help catch the murderer work? And what part does Kat's guard dog, Rudy, play?

Murder at the Clinic A Midwest Cozy Mystery edition by Dianne Harman Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

Dianne Harmon's books always satisfy my murder mystery habit and entertain with well-grounded characters and plot twists. This one was particularly interesting to me because of the references to Kansas City. I think I bought my wedding gown at the same store she described.
I’m sorry to say this but the dialogue in this book is truly dreadful (and the book is almost totally dialogue)! The main characters speak as if they don’t even really know each other and the language is stilted and odd. I’ve read about 60% and I’ll probably skim the rest.
What a fun read. Learned more about acupuncture. Loved the mid-life romance--& the idea that it is never too late. Well written although you can guess the murderer about half way through the book. It was still very enjoyable & exciting. Love the humor. Th heroine decides to write a cozy murder and in chapter 7 lists the requirements for a good cozy. This cozy fulfills the rules but is still unique & interesting. Very enjoyable reading.
What if you are Dianne Harman and you are visiting Dr. Lam for an acupuncture treatment for your sore back from writing… Ops, sorry, what if you are Kat Denham and you are visiting Mitzi Green for … Oh, well, you get the idea. I have had acupuncture, but never found a dead person afterwards. In spite of that, I enjoyed the story and recommend the book
I enjoyed this book as I always do with Dianne Harman's books. I love the lack of sexual content ( se is not in my opinion a spectator sport), violence, fowl language and all the other trimmings we tend to read in most books. This book was no exception. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. Spoiler, I caught the one line that told me who it was likely to be early. But then it took the whole book to show the motive and how it was done. What a great way to spend a day...trying to figure out exactly who , how and why? Another job well done. Can't wait for the next book to come from this wonderful woman. Thank you
I usually prefer to say nothing when I don't like something, but I purchased this book precisely because of the many positive reviews, so feel obliged to offer my contrasting view.

Wow - truly some of the worst dialogue I have ever read in any book, ever. When two people are conversing naturally they don't start every sentence with the other person's name - but they do in this book. As one other reviewer wrote, the dialogue was very stilted and unnatural. The plot was given away very early on and I only finished the book in a bemused "surely this has to get better" frame of mind - sigh. It didn't.

Again - very glad for those who enjoyed this book, but I thought it was terrible, and wish I had read some of the negative reviews before purchasing.
There are so many things that can be said about author Dianne Harman’s book. Original jumps out at me. While yes, her books have many of the elements that make a cozy mystery cozy, so many of her plots, characters, and settings are always just a bit different. Original.

MURDER AT THE CLINIC gets my vote for one of the more creative ways to commit murder. Cozy authors have to be so careful not to be gruesome, but that doesn’t mean they always have to choose boring weapons. I respect authors such as Harmon who can keep the fresh ideas coming.

Well written, and a fast paced read, MURDER AT THE CLINIC kept me on my toes, and busy guessing. Protagonist, Kat Denham, had to stay sharp to solve the murder in this one. With so many suspects, it was like searching for a needle in a haystack!

If you liked book one, MURDERED BY WORDS, you’re going to love MURDER AT THE CLINIC!
